Preposition Checklist *Freebie*

I work with following directions and understanding concepts with many of my preschool and kindergarten populations. Prepositions are great to target for both receptive and expressive goals as they are consistently used throughout the day.

This prepositions checklist with both receptive and expressive applications is super handy to whip out. Use the receptive list to see how many prepositions your student can understand, and then use the expressive checklist to see if they can name and identify prepositions. I have broken the checklist down into the 3 main types of prepositions; location, time and direction for a better understanding.

  1. Do you have any ideas about how to target the “time” prepositions? Location and direction I use a lot of barrier games and describing pictures but I am having a hard time targeting time prepositions. I pretty much have them fill in the blank on worksheets which doesn’t help with carrover. Any ideas would be great!
